How JYDEV LTD handles personal data on this website and when you get in touch. Our apps have their own policies, listed below.

JYDEV LTD Company 17506340 Effective 20 October 2026

App policies

Each type of app we publish has a privacy policy that applies specifically to it:

  • Offline apps: apps that run entirely on your device and don't collect personal data.
  • Network apps: diagnostic and network tools that run on your device, with optional online features. This includes netstack.

Who we are

JYDEV LTD is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17506340). Our registered office is 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX. For the data described on this page, we are the data controller under UK data protection law.

Enquiries

If you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, company name (if you give one) and your message. If you email us directly, we receive whatever you include in the email. We use these details only to reply to you and to discuss work you've asked about.

Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries people send us, and taking steps you've asked for before entering a contract.

Form enquiries are delivered to our email inbox and also kept in our hosting provider's storage for up to 12 months, after which they're deleted automatically. Ask us and we'll delete yours sooner.

Using this website

  • Hosting. The site runs on Cloudflare, which handles each request, including your IP address, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
  • Fonts. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers and Google receives your IP address.
  • Live chat. The chat button loads from tawk.to. If you use it, tawk.to receives your message, your IP address and basic browser details, and stores the transcript so we can reply. It sets a cookie to keep the conversation going. We use those messages on the same basis as other enquiries. Their policy is at tawk.to/privacy-policy. Ask us and we'll delete a transcript.
  • Cookies. Other than that chat cookie, this site doesn't set cookies and doesn't use analytics or advertising trackers.

Client work

When we build or run systems for a client, any personal data in those systems is handled under the written agreement for that work, including data processing terms where they're needed. This policy doesn't cover that data.

Client portal

Customers we already work with can sign in at jydev.online/login. Each account has a four-digit ID. We store a name, email, phone number, company and postal address when we have them, the support messages sent through the portal, notes we keep about the work, the apps we run, and the monthly amounts and due dates we have agreed. When an account has an email address, we send a link from no-reply@jydev.online so they can choose a password. That link expires after 48 hours and works once. We use that to provide support and to keep the account straight.

The legal basis is the contract for the work, and our legitimate interest in running the systems we look after. Ask us and we will close the login and delete the portal record, apart from what we have to keep for tax and accounts.

Who sees your data

We don't sell personal data and we don't share it for advertising. The companies that handle website data on our behalf are Cloudflare (hosting, storage, the client portal database and sign-in emails), Google (our email inbox and the web fonts) and tawk.to (live chat).

These providers may process data outside the UK. tawk.to processes chat in the United States. Where data leaves the UK, the provider relies on a safeguard recognised under UK law, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop or limit how we use it. Email hello@jydev.online and we'll reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to sort it out first.

Changes

When this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the effective date at the top.
