These terms apply to JYDEV LTD's network and diagnostic apps, including netstack. The same terms apply to any later app of this kind whose store listing links here. They run on your device. Some features also use our servers or other services on the internet.

JYDEV LTD Company 17506340 Effective 18 October 2026

About these terms

"We" and "us" means JYDEV LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17506340), registered office 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX.

By installing or using one of these apps you agree to these terms and to our general terms. Where the two differ, these terms apply. The terms of the store you downloaded the app from, such as the Google Play Terms of Service, also apply.

How the apps handle personal data is covered in the network apps privacy policy.

Apps this covers

This page covers apps we publish for looking at networks and devices: local network discovery, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth information, speed and latency checks, ping logging, and related tools. netstack (package com.jydev.netstack on Google Play) is one of them.

Apps that never leave the device are covered by the offline apps terms instead.

Your licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the apps on devices you own or control, within the rules of the store you got them from.

You may not:

  • copy, sell, rent or redistribute an app, or pass it off as your own
  • reverse engineer or modify an app, except where the law allows you to do so
  • remove copyright or other notices from an app
  • bypass purchase checks, share links, or rate limits, or use a modified copy to reach paid or online features

Networks you may test

Use the apps only on networks, devices and systems you own, or that you have clear permission to test. That includes your home or office network, equipment a client has asked you to check, and public tests the other side offers, such as a speed-test server.

Don't use the apps to:

  • scan, probe, log in to, or disrupt a network or device you aren't allowed to touch
  • hide who you are in order to abuse a service, or to get around a block
  • send email, share a file, or pass on someone else's data unless you have the right to do so
  • break the law, or the rules of a network you're connected to

You're responsible for how you use what the app shows you. A tool that lists open ports or known vulnerabilities is for checking systems you're allowed to check.

What the results mean

Readings, scores, device lists, speed tests and vulnerability lookups are a guide. They can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. They are not a security audit, a penetration test, or a promise that a network is safe or that a device is vulnerable.

Decisions about firewalls, access, or whether something is safe to use are yours. If a result matters, check it another way.

Online features

A lot of each app works on the device with no account. Some features need the internet. They may talk to our servers, for example at netstack.jydev.online, or directly to other providers such as a speed-test network, a public-IP lookup, or a vendor database.

Online features can be unavailable, slow, or withdrawn. We may set limits, such as how many emails or shared links you can create, and we may refuse a request that looks abusive or that fails a purchase or app-integrity check. We don't guarantee that a third-party service will keep working.

Anything you create on the device, such as a ping log or a saved report, stays there unless you choose to email it or create a share link. We can't restore device data if the phone is lost, reset, or the app is uninstalled.

Payments

Local features may be free. An app may also offer a one-time unlock and a subscription for features that use our servers. The names and prices are shown in the app and in the store. For netstack those are a one-time Pro unlock and an optional monthly Cloud subscription.

The store takes the payment and handles refunds under its own policies. We don't see your card details. Contact the store first for a refund. If you have a problem with how an app works, email us.

A subscription renews until you cancel it in the store. Cloud and other subscription features stop when the subscription ends, after any grace period the store gives you. We check purchases with Google. A refund, cancellation, or failed payment can remove paid access. Cancelling doesn't delete data already stored on your device.

Updates

We release updates to fix bugs, improve the apps and keep them working on current devices. Some updates may change or remove features, including online ones. We may stop supporting older versions of Android when maintaining them is no longer practical.

Your legal rights

We build our apps with reasonable care and skill. If you're a consumer, UK law gives you rights when digital content is faulty or not as described, including a repair, replacement or refund in some cases. Nothing in these terms takes those rights away. For more on your rights, see Citizens Advice.

Our liability

We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We aren't responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable when you started using the app, or for loss caused by a third-party service the app calls, a network you don't control, or a reading you chose to rely on.

These apps are for domestic and private use, and for technicians checking systems they are allowed to check. If you use them for business purposes, we aren't liable for loss of profit, business, data, or business opportunity.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Ownership

The apps, their code, design and content belong to JYDEV LTD or the people who license them to us. Some apps include open-source components, which are covered by their own licences. Vulnerability data, speed-test measurements and vendor lists come from the services named in the app and stay subject to those services' terms.

Ending these terms

You can stop using an app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend online features, or end your licence, if you break these terms in a serious way, abuse the service, or if a purchase is refunded. If we end the licence, you must stop using the app and delete it.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page, with the effective date at the top.
